COACH STEVE SPECHT
Has been the head coach of the St. Xavier Bombers varsity football team (Cincinnati, Ohio) since 2003. Under Coach Specht, the Bombers have won four Ohio big school championships (2005, 2007, 2016, 2020), with Specht earning Ohio Division I Coach of the Year honors in 2005 and 2007. Specht received the NFL Don Shula High School Coach of the Year Award in 2013.
However, awards and accomplishments, plastic trophies and metal rings aren’t foundational. Rather, they are the results of living a “purpose driven life.” Every GREAT coach understands God placed them on earth to serve others…to leave the world better than they found it.
Most important, Coach Steve Specht is human, a flawed individual fighting hard to learn from his mistakes, growing from every experience, allowing others to make a difference in his life while hoping to impact others in a similar way.
Each of us is given one life to live…can we make a formative difference that will impact this world for years to come?
